The government is making Islamabad a model city for health, Dr Zafar Mirza
Islamabad: Assistant Special Health Officer Dr Zafar Mirza says the government is making Islamabad a model city in terms of health and is committed to ensuring universal health coverage.
According to details, a meeting of the Islamabad Health Regulatory Authority chaired by Assistant Special Health Officer Dr. Zafar Mirzaki was held at the meeting.
Assistant Special Health said that for the first time a Health Regulatory Authority has been set up in Islamabad; Healthcare commissions are working in all the four provinces.
Zafar Mirza said that the department has to play an active role for the health and welfare of the people. According to the Prime Minister, the health sector is our top priority.
He said that the authority would regulate private hospitals, clinics, and labs, the government is building Islamabad as a model city for health and is committed to ensuring universal health coverage.
The Assistant Special Health Minister added that the government is strengthening the primary health care system, the authority has to remain committed to the policy of transparency and public accountability.
