Chicken Poultry meat sold at Rs. 400 per kg in Karachi
Karachi / Lahore: Poultry mafia did not stop looting from citizens even on Eid. In Shar-e-Quaid, chicken meat started selling for up to Rs 400.
According to the details, the poultry mafia in Pakistan’s economic hub Karachi once again heated up the looting market, the poultry mafia also removed the chicken meat from the reach of the poor people, the commissioners also became helpless in front of the mafia.
In Shar-e-Quaid, chicken meat was being sold at Rs. 400 per kg while the selling price was fixed at Rs. 214 but the administration could not implement the prices.
On the other hand, the prices of chicken meat in the capital of Punjab, Lahore, have skyrocketed. In Lahore, the price of chicken meat has reached three hundred and fifty rupees per kg.
Provincial Minister Mian Aslam said that the Poultry Association had violated the agreement and had started looting on Eid.
Punjab Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal said that those who obey will have to go to jail. Chicken meat was sold for Rs 350 instead of Rs 260.
He said that strict action would be taken against the profiteers but the sale of chicken meat at fixed price would be ensured.
Mian Aslam said the district administration would take action against the poultry mafia across the province and would not allow anyone to sell poultry above the stipulated price.
