US threatens to tighten sanctions on Iran
Washington / Tehran: The United States has warned Iran that it would be prepared for further sanctions if the UN arms deal is not complied with.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, the United States has warned the Iranian government not to violate the UN arms deal, saying that if Iran does not abide by the nuclear deal, strict sanctions will be imposed.
Brian Hook, the US envoy to Iran, said the Trump administration had also informed Britain, France and Germany of its policy that the United States would maintain a nuclear arms embargo on Iran.
Leading columnist on the UN agreement said that if the UN lifted sanctions in October, the region would face negative effects, because if the sanctions were lifted, Iran would provide more weapons to armed groups.
The Iranian government has so far violated 2231 UN resolutions and is continuing to violate the 2015 arms embargo agreement.
