ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has become the 15th country in the world out of 213 countries in terms of number of cases after the graph of corona cases rose further, the number of deaths and new cases is increasing day by day, during the last 24 hours. There were another 88 deaths in the country.
According to the details, 88 more people died of corona infection in the last 24 hours across the country while 6,472 new cases were reported. According to an update released by the National Command and Operations Center, the new and deadly virus has infected 132,405 people across Pakistan, bringing the death toll to 2,551. In terms of population in Pakistan, the corona virus statistics show that the death rate in 1 million population has increased from 10 to 12%, while the number of cases in 1 million population has also increased to 600. The number of patients currently undergoing treatment for corona in different cities of the country is 79,798, while so far 50,056 patients have recovered from the disease caused by the virus.
The command center said that the highest number of deaths occurred in Punjab with 938 deaths, followed by 793 deaths in Sindh, 642 deaths in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 80 deaths in Balochistan, 71 deaths in Islamabad and 16 deaths in Gilgit-Baltistan. 11 deaths have been recorded in Azad Kashmir. The highest number of corona cases was recorded in Punjab at 50,087, 49,256 corona cases were reported in Sindh, 16,415 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 7,866 in Balochistan, 7,163 in Islamabad and 1,044 corona cases were reported in Gilgit-Baltistan. However, the number of cases in Azad Kashmir is 574.
During the last 24 hours, 29,850 krona tests were conducted in the country. According to the NCOC, 839,019 krona tests have been conducted in the country so far. 22,047 patients have recovered in Sindh, 9,546 in Punjab, 3,907 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,673 in Balochistan, 1,164 in Islamabad, 673 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 237 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
