US President imposes sanctions on International Court of Justice officials
Washington: Following the decision of the International Court of Justice to investigate war crimes against the United States, US President Trump imposed sanctions on the officials of the International Court of Justice.
According to the details, US President Donald Trump has authorized the imposition of economic and travel sanctions on the officials of the International Criminal Court (ICC) for investigating war crimes against US troops, intelligence officials and allied countries including Israel.
President Trump has imposed sanctions on the International Court of Justice under an executive order. The order said sanctions could be imposed on anyone involved in the investigation against the United States.
It should be noted that the International Court of Justice had decided to investigate the war crimes against the United States, the court had also started the investigation of the crimes against the Palestinians in Israel, on which President Trump rejected the authority of the International Court of Justice in the order.
In this regard, White House Press Secretary Kelly McKinney said that the actions of the International Court of Justice are an attack on the rights of the American people, will protect its citizens, allies from unjust legal action.
In addition, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo addressed the International Criminal Court as a kangaroo court, saying that our people are at risk from the kangaroo court, economic sanctions will be determined on the basis of cases.
