ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has said that he has not seen such an increase in the prices of petroleum products at the international level. That is why the prices had to be revised and he will continue to try to provide relief to the people.
According to details, the Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz in his statement on the social networking website Twitter regarding the prices of petroleum products said that Corona has affected the economies of the world and has not seen such an increase in the prices of petroleum products globally. Due to this, the prices of petroleum products had to be revised.
Shibli Faraz said that the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan have gone up less than in the region, the welfare of the people is the first priority and efforts are being made to provide relief.It may be recalled that yesterday the government suddenly increased the prices of petroleum products by a record of more than Rs 25 and the application of prices was also quick. High-speed diesel increased by Rs 21.31 paise to Rs 101.46 paise and kerosene by Rs 23.50 to Rs 6.6 paise.
The price of light diesel has been increased by Rs 17.84 per liter, before petrol was Rs 74.52 per liter and high speed diesel was Rs 80.15 per liter.
Later, in the current situation in the country, there was a strong reaction from the people to the increase in prices. After the strong reaction, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Energy Omar Ayub wrote in his tweet explaining the increase in prices.
