RAWALPINDI: In Rawalpindi, a brutal couple tortured an 8-year-old housemaid for accidentally flying two parrots out of a cage, as a result of which she succumbed to her injuries.
According to News, 8-year-old housemaid Zohra was cleaning a cage in Rawalpindi when two parrots flew out of the cage and Hassan Siddiqui and his wife got angry and tortured the girl. The girl succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
Sources said that the 8-year-old girl was from Muzaffargarh and was kept by the owner of the house Hassan Siddiqui and his wife to take care of their son.
Police said that Hassan Siddiqui had escaped after transferring the girl to the hospital but the accused has been arrested in a timely manner.
Federal Minister for Human Rights Shirin Mazari said that they are in touch with the police in the case of rape and murder of a minor employee, our lawyer is following the case, the couple involved in the case are on remand for 4 days.
He said that the Ministry of Human Rights has proposed an amendment to the Employment of Children Act, including an amendment to declare domestic work dangerous.
