Demand of Sindh government to withdraw the decision to increase the price of electricity for K Electric consumers
KARACHI: The Sindh government has rejected the decision to increase the price of electricity for K Electric consumers and said that they would protest if the decision to increase the price of electricity was not withdrawn.
According to details, the Sindh government has rejected the decision to increase the price of electricity for K Electric consumers by Rs 2.89 per unit. Provincial Minister Ismail Rahu said that the decision of the Economic Co-ordination Committee to increase the price of electricity was tantamount to Sindh enmity. ۔
Ismail Rahu said that instead of taking cognizance of the people of K Electric, electricity was made expensive. The federal government drops a bomb of inflation and looting on the people of Sindh every month.
The provincial minister said that if there is no electricity in Karachi then why the price of electricity has been increased by Rs. 3, there is load shedding for 10 hours in 24 hours.
He said that this government is run by none other than IMF, a government that oppresses the people cannot last long.
Yesterday, a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee chaired by Finance Advisor Abdul Hafeez Sheikh approved an increase in electricity tariff for K Electric consumers up to Rs 2.89 paise and said that the increase in K Electric tariff would be made in the form of quarterly adjustment.
