In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces have kept Kashmiri leaders in jails and under house arrest for a year. According to an Indian newspaper, 16 Kashmiri leaders have been under house arrest for a year, according to Abdullah. An appeal was also filed for his release but it has not been heard yet.
