Increase in corona cases in educational institutions
LAHORE: Coronavirus increase in corona cases in educational institutions has been confirmed in 51 students, 3 teachers and a staff member in Punjab’s educational institutions, after which 9 classrooms of different institutions were sealed for violating SOPs.
According to details, an increase in corona cases is being recorded in educational institutions of Punjab. In Punjab educational institutions, 51 students, 3 teachers and one staff member have been confirmed to have corona virus. Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care Capt (retd) Muhammad Usman said that 9 classrooms of various institutions were sealed due to violation of SOPs.
Media player poster frame Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman said that 28,887 corona tests were conducted in educational institutions of Punjab, corona tests of 6,168 children in secondary schools were negative and 41 were positive. According to the Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care, 20,178 negative and 12 positive results were obtained in higher secondary institutions, while the corona test of 1770 was negative and one positive in universities so far, as well as 154 in all madrassas. Test results were negative.
The spokesperson said that 6538 out of 327 institutions in Lahore, 1980 out of 39 institutions in Gujarat, 8 institutions in Faisalabad, 685 out of 11 institutions in Nankana Sahib, 323 out of 5 institutions in Bhakkar, 688 out of 18 institutions in Lodhran and 218 institutions in Gujranwala. 787 and 958 samples were taken from 14 institutions in Bahalpur. Capt (retd) Muhammad Usman said that one classroom of 2 schools in Lahore, 6 in Gujarat, 1 in Bhakkar, 1 in Lodhran, 1 in Gujranwala and 2 in Bahalpur were sealed. SOPs have been issued by Primary and Secondary Health Care for all educational institutions. In order to fully open educational institutions, strict implementation of SOPs must be ensured.
