LAHORE: The Punjab government has finally issued a notification regarding the one-way fare of Lahore Orange Line Metro train.
According to News, the Secretary Transport has issued a notification regarding Lahore Orange Line Metro train fare, according to which the one-way fare will be Rs 40 per passenger.How much will the Orange Line train fare
Provincial Minister for Transport Jahanzeb Khan Kachchi said that the PTI government was committed to the policy of completing projects started with public money.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is constantly striving to provide quality travel facilities to the people.
The provincial minister said that Lahore theOrange Line Metro Train is not a private project of any person or any political party, projects made with public money are the property of the province.
Orange Line MetroTrain, important decision in the cabinet meeting
Jahanzeb Khan Kachchi said that theOrange Line train has been completed for the convenience of the citizens of Lahore. We want to benefit the people by completing the unfinished projects of the previous government.
It may be recalled that last month the Punjab Cabinet had proposed to fix the fare at Rs 50 but Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar rejected the proposal and approved to fix the train fare at Rs 40.

It is pertinent to point out that in December, after finishing the technical and mechanical work; the Punjab government initiated the trial run of the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) on a 27-kilometer route from Dera Gujran to Ali Town. According to the transport officials, the next run will need at least 3-months before it can be opened to the public.
