Pakistan announces 15-member squad against Zimbabwe


LAHORE: Pakistan has announced a 15-member squad for the first one-day international against Zimbabwe.

According to details, Babar Azam captain, Imam-ul-Haq, Abid Ali, Fakhr Zaman, Haris Sohail, Muhammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdal Shah, Fahim Ashraf, Emad Wasim and Usman Qadir are in the squad of Pakistan cricket team.


Similarly, Wahab Riaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Musa Khan have also been included in the team.

The first ODI between Zimbabwe and Pakistan will be played tomorrow at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Captain Babar Azam says that the effort is to play a good combination, playing against Zimbabwe will restore confidence, all the focus is on ODI cricket, we have to play back-to-back series.

“We don’t consider any team easy, our goal is to give 110 per cent performance, we have to play aggressively in T20, this is the first series as captain in ODI cricket,” he said.

He further said that the performance of the young batsmen is commendable, they consider Zimbabwe as a tough opponent like England and other teams, it is an honor to take the lead in ODIs after T20.
