Publication of blasphemous sketches, resolution to end diplomatic relations with France

LAHORE: A resolution was tabled in the Punjab Assembly to end diplomatic relations with France, demanding deportation of the French ambassador and immediate ban on French goods.
According to details, a resolution to end diplomatic relations with France was submitted to the Punjab Assembly. The resolution was submitted by PML-N member Malik Nadeem Kamran.
The resolution said the House condemns the blasphemous images in France, and the government should talk to the Facebook administration to remove the hateful content.

The resolution called for the deportation of the French ambassador and an immediate ban on French goods.
The Senate, the National Assembly and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan Assemblies had passed resolutions condemning the publication of the blasphemous sketches.
Quaid-e-Awan Shehza Dosim presented the resolution in a net text saying that it is unfortunate that such measures have the patronage of the French government, blasphemous sketches have hurt the hearts of millions of Muslims Adopt a joint strategy to prevent incidents.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi condemned the blasphemous sketches in a resolution tabled in the National Assembly and said that Pakistan was concerned about the growing trend of Islamophobia in the world.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly had passed a resolution condemning the French president’s encouragement of the embarrassing exhibition, saying the government should approach other forums, including the United Nations, for effective legislation.
