RAWALPINDI: Six major generals have been promoted to the rank of lieutenant general at the highest level in the Pakistan Army, including former DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor.
Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General, Public Relations, ISPR, said in a statement on the social networking site Twitter that high-level promotions were announced in the Pakistan Army and six major generals were promoted to the rank of lieutenant general. The DG ISPR said that Lt. Gen. Hassan Azhar Hayat has been posted as Military Secretary, Lt. Gen. Asif Ghafoor as IG Communications and IT, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Abdul Aziz as Corps Commander Lahore and Lt. Gen. Muhammad Waseem Ashraf as Corps Commander Multan.
