Government has prepared a corona vaccination plan

ISLAMABAD: The government has prepared a corona vaccination plan after the possible acquisition of corona vaccine. The campaign will be launched in three phases in March next year.
According to details, sources in the Ministry of Health said that a corona vaccination plan has been prepared. The corona vaccination plan campaign will be carried out in three phases. The campaign is likely to start in March. Will have 500,000 health care workers.
In this regard, the source also said that in the first phase, 95 lakh citizens over the age of 65 will be corona vaccination plan, while in the second phase, the remaining health care workers will be vaccinated.
According to sources, in the second phase, citizens above 60 years of age will be vaccinated. In the third phase, the vaccine will be given to a specific population of the country. The nature of vaccination will depend on the amount of vaccine available.
The purchase of corona vaccine has made significant progress
It may be recalled that it has also been decided to set up a special cabinet committee for procurement of corona vaccine. Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar will head the committee. Earlier in the day, sources said that Asad Omar has been appointed as the head of a special committee set up to procure the corona vaccine.
The committee includes Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Hamad Azhar, Special Assistant for Social Welfare Sania Nishtar and Dr Faisal Sultan.
Sources also said that the special committee would oversee the process of procuring the vaccine, the decisions of the special committee would be final and no approval from the cabinet would be required.
