Publicity of blasphemous content on social media: 3 accused sentenced to death

ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court has sentenced three accused to death in a case related to the publication of blasphemous content material on social media.
According to details, the anti-terrorism court heard a case related to the dissemination of blasphemous material on social media. In the hearing, ATC Judge Raja Jawad pronounced a reserved verdict.
In the verdict, the anti-terrorism court sentenced three accused to death. The convicts sentenced to death include Nasir Ahmed, Abdul Waheed and Rana Noman.
The court also sentenced Anwar Ahmed to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 100,000.
The anti-terrorism court later issued a written verdict in a case of publicity of blasphemous material on social media, stating that three convicts were sentenced to death, three convicts were sentenced under section 295C while convict Anwar Ahmed was sentenced to 10 years in prison. A fine of one lakh is imposed.
