It is believed that the way out of fatf Pakistan has been paved this month. Sources said that Pakistan has made clear progress on all 27 points of FATF and a progress report has been sent on all points.

Major progress has been made in anti-money laundering and anti-terror financing. Pakistan has completed legislation in these areas while legal action has also been taken against banned organizations.

It may be recalled that in June 2018, the FATF added Pakistan to its gray list. Pakistan was given time till October 2019 to take necessary steps in this regard, which was later extended for another four months.
