K Electric signs 1400 MW power purchase agreement with government

ISLAMABAD: Chairman NEPRA has reserved its decision on the request of monthly and quarterly fuel adjustment of K Electric. K Electric officials said that an agreement has been reached with the government to purchase 1400 MW of electricity while an agreement to purchase gas with Sui Southern is ready.
According to details, a hearing was held on monthly fuel adjustment, quarterly adjustment of Electric under the chairmanship of NEPRA. The decision was reserved at the request of K Electric.

K Electric officials said that has signed an agreement with the government to purchase 1400 MW of power. The agreement has been sent to the Cabinet Energy Committee for approval. In March this year, 1100 MW of power will be available from NTDC.
Officials said that from 2023, 1400 MW of electricity will be generated from NTDC while Electric has signed an agreement with Sui Southern to buy gas. Sui Southern is facing difficulties in supplying the required gas permanently. is going.
