SWAT: The primary Pakistan Worldwide Airways (PIA) flight landed on the Saidu Sharif Airport in Swat on Friday after 17 years.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, federal ministers Ghulam Sarwar Khan and Murad Saeed had been onboard when the inaugural flight touched down within the scenic valley.
As per the PIA, the nationwide service could have two flights to the airport each week from Islamabad. It added that passengers desirous to journey from Karachi and Lahore shall be related with flights from Islamabad.
