PSL 6 postponed due rising tide of corona cases

KARACHI: The rising tide of corona cases has decimated Pakistan’s most popular league PSL, which has led to the postponement of Pakistan Super League season six PSL 6 postponed.
According to the details, this difficult decision was taken in an emergency meeting between the PSL management and the team owners due to the increasing cases of Corona PSL 6 postponed. The situation after the increase of Corona cases was discussed in the virtual meeting.
A statement issued by the PCB said that the decision to adjourn was taken after seven cases came to light in the league. Pakistan Cricket Board will hold an important press conference on PSL at 3 pm.
Sources said that the PCB will immediately take steps for PCR testing of all the teams and will also take steps to provide corona vaccination and isolation facilities to all the teams involved in the event.
Due to negligence and irresponsibility of PSL management, PSL had to be PSL 6 postponed . No proper steps were taken to protect the players and officials from Corona during the tournament. The hotel where the PSL players and officials stayed There were wedding ceremonies going on.
Not only this, people were seen coming and going in the elevator of the hotel with the PSL players. The PSL management did not inform the players about the SOPs and no significant steps were taken. A large sum of money was spent on the opening ceremony in Istanbul, but nothing was done to protect the players. No emergency measures were taken even after the coroner’s test of the players and officials in the league was positive.
Despite investing billions of rupees, the PSL management and the PCB showed a lack of seriousness. During the event, the franchise owners were not taken into confidence regarding SOPs.
Since the inception of PSL, seven people have fallen victim to code, due to which Dan Christian from Karachi Kings had also decided to withdraw from PSL 6, All Rao of Karachi Kings from Australia. Fearless will leave for Dubai on a 12 o’clock flight.
It is to be noted that the corona tests of three more players of the two teams involved in season 6 of Pakistan Super League (PSL) came positive todaythats why PSL 6 postponed . The corona tests of these players were conducted yesterday afternoon when the symptoms appeared. These players did not participate in the matches held on Wednesday.
Earlier, three players and an official were confirmed in PSL 6, including Fawad Ahmed and Louis Gregory of Islamabad United and Tom Benton of Quetta Gladiators.
All three players and Karachi Kings fielding coach Kamran Khan were immediately quarantined for ten days after Karuna tested positive.
It may be recalled that Australian spinner Fawad Ahmed of Islamabad United was infected with corona virus after which the match between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators was postponed for one day.
