ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered the suspension of Federal Investigation Company (FIA) officers for allegedly ignoring a number of harassment complaints filed by a girl over time.
Angered by the FIA’s inaction over 5 complaints lodged by the lady from December 16, 2019 to June 13, 2021, PM Khan ordered a clear inquiry into the incident and the officers’ suspension.
The girl had stop her job at a college as a result of incessant harassment and complained to the FIA. Over the latter’s alleged inaction, she tried to take her life.
The PM Workplace mentioned regardless of reopening the criticism twice, the FIA failed to meet its duty.
Ordering DG FIA to droop the involved officers, PM Khan ordered an neutral inquiry into the incident and promised that she’s going to get justice.
He confused on the FIA to offer aid to the lady on the earliest, saying that no criticism must be ignored.
The Prime Minister’s Supply Unit on this regard issued a letter to the DG FIA for an inquiry of the officers involved.
The inquiry report can be submitted to the prime minister on July 20, the Prime Minister’s Workplace mentioned.
