BAHAWALNAGAR: Two individuals have been killed and over 30 injured Thursday afternoon when a Muharram procession was focused with a cracker assault, Geo Information reported.
Police stated the incident happened when a Muharram procession was passing via the Metropolis Chowk space in Bahawalnagar.
DHQ Bahawalnagar medical superintendent confirmed that two individuals had been killed within the incident, including that the injured had been shifted to completely different hospitals throughout town.
After the blast, a police contingent arrived within the space and carried out a search. One suspect was taken into custody.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took discover of the incident, provided his condolences over the lack of life and tasked IG Punjab to take motion and arrest culprits instantly.
